I am an outspoken supporter of the use of biotechnology to address food diversity, food security, and climate change. At present, only a few species make up most of the world’s food supply. Conserving plant genetic resources and sustainability exploring native plants can significantly promote food security and biodiversity. I strongly believe biotechnology and molecular approaches are the best tools to address these issues with innovation.
